Horizontal Bar


The horizontal bar is a rod suspended 280 cm. over the floor. The bar is held in place by two vertical support poles 244 cm. apart. The male gymnast swings around and vaults over the bar, using the power of his hands. This exercise is good for developing upper body strength in his arms, shoulders, chest and back.

280 cm. + or – 1 cm. from the top of the bar to the floor
